自分の体と人の体を比較して、違うことは顔であったり、
背の高さや大きさなどで基本的な構造に違いはありません。

例えば、鼻があって、口があってっていうのは同じです。
外見だけでなく内臓や脳、心臓も基本的には同じです。
大きく分ければ変わりはありません。

ただ、部分的に少し細かく見ると数に違いがあったりします。
例えば肋骨の数です。１２対あるのが基本ではありますが、
人によっては１１対であったり、１３対だったりします。

放射線を浴びたりした奇形児には指が多かったり少なかったり
しますが、このケースは特に日常生活に支障をきたす
わけでなく、奇形というわけでもありません。

肋骨以外にも、ふくらはぎの筋肉が人より一つ多かったり
動脈の流れ方が違うことなどは多々あります。
基本は同じでも人により、顔と同じで個性が見られます。

医師が外科手術をするときも基本を頭においてはいますが、
基本と違うことが多いので、研修生は面食らうといいます。

体の構造だけでなく病気も基本はありますが、みな違う
性格を持っています。
なので真面目な研修生ほど理解に苦しみます。

進化論にはいろいろな説（同種でも強いもんが残り体を変化させ
進化してきた説とか遺伝子の突然変異で体を変化させ進化した説、
環境にうまく適用するために体を変化させ進化した説など正しいとも
違うともいえない説がたくさんあるようです）があり、
まだまだ解明できていないところがあるそうですが、
こういう人と人の個人差があるということは
人はまだまだ進化の途中なのかと思えてきます。

興味深く読ませていただきました。

個性なのか、それとも異常なのか
気にされる人も多いように感じますが
日常生活に支障がなければ
ご本人が気にする程度ではなければ
個性としていいのではないかと
思っています。

それはそうと、個体差のこともそうですが
生物の種を分類するのも、結構難しいことだろうなあ
と思います。興味深いところですね。。。

私も、個性としていいのでは…という意見に賛成です。

ある時、イチロー選手が「僕は、常に進化しているんです…」というコメントを言ったことを記憶しています。（多分、彼が言ったと思います。）
きっと、彼は一般の人が感じている以上に自分の個性というものを細胞に至るまで感じているのではないかと思ってしまいます。
「進化する」…本当に、興味深いところです。

医師と研修生の部分を読みながら専門学校の先生から習った言葉を思い出していました。
「賢者は同を察し、愚者は異を察す」（『素問』のどこかの文）
同じものを知り、その上で異なるものも知っているようにしたいものです。
